The story of Ron Stallworth, the African-American policeman who infiltrated and befriended the higher echelons of the Ku Klux Klan in the early '70s, seemed so remarkable that even filmmaker Spike Lee thought it was "fake news" when he was initially told the story. But in his new film, "BlacKkKlansman," Lee turns the true story of Stallworth (played brilliantly by John David Washington) into a biting and satiric expose of racism that resonates as much today as it did then. Journalist Katherine Tulich spoke to Lee and Washington for this video report.
